On certain vehicles, the molding flash on the primary lever may prevent operation of the deceleration lock and tilt lock functions of the driver's side retractor. If this should occur in a frontal crash situation, driver protection from the seat belt may be reduced, increasing the risk of injury. Correction: Left front retractor assemblies will be replaced on affected vehicles. Additional information may be available on Transport Canada's website |
