On certain vehicles, the steering linkage relay rod tapered stud attachment nut may not have been torqued to specification. This could eventually lead to fracture of the relay rod stud resulting in loss of steering control and a possible vehicle crash. Correction: Dealers will remove the existing tapered stud crimped nut and install a new nut torqued to specification. Additional information may be available on Transport Canada's website |
