Today is officially the last day of the PT Cruiser’s most recent lease on life. With its previous death sentence having been deferred by a floundering Chrysler brand in need of market-ready product in its post-bankruptcy phase, the diminutive and too-long-lived caricature of ‘90s car design is finally ceasing production.

Death Defying PT Cruiser Lives On

We’ve lost count of the number of times Chrysler has threatened to kill off the PT Cruiser. Constructed on a platform that was long since replaced by the Caliber and posting relatively slow sales figures every month, there never seemed to be much reason to continue the PT Cruisers construction.
