Volkswagen Passat
After stepping out for 2011 (when only the CC version was offered), an all-new Passat is back for 2012. Inevitably, it looks something like the new Jetta and is offered with three different engine options: a 2.0L 4-cylinder turbodiesel, a 2.5L 5-cylinder and a 3.6L V6. Meanwhile, the CC is no longer part of the Passat family as it is now considered an entirely separate model. It has just been named Motor Trend Car of the Year.
