The Grand Vitara is one of the rare four-wheel drive utility vehicles available that is a real 4x4! It is offered equipped either with a V6 (230 horsepower) or, starting last year, a 166 horsepower four-cylinder engine. This last one isn’t the most frugal of the category, and, for this year at least, isn’t even coupled to a manual transmission. Note that Grand Vitara sales might be boosted by the elimination of the seven passenger XL-7 version.
