Accounting for 25% of Subaru's sales, the Forester compact SUV is a sure bet for the Japanese brand. The manufacturer recently gave its MVP a complete overhaul by giving it a choice of engines. There's a 2.5-litre 170-horsepower 4-cylinder boxer or the same 2.0-litre found in the WRX sports car. Both engines can be paired with an automatic CVT, but only the basic engine can be equipped with a 6-speed manual.
