Lotus has big electric ambitions for the future, but until then, the internal combustion engine is still alive and well. The British manufacturer’s Emira sports coupe is powered by a standard AMG-developed and turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 360 hp, which is one of the most power-dense engines on the planet. Alternatively, the Emira is available with a supercharged V6 developing 400 hp. Only the latter can be specified with a manual transmission.
