Competition is fierce among compact SUVs, but the latest Sportage manages to stand out with modern looks, a versatile and comfortable interior, as well as two hybrid options. The regular one delivers 227 horsepower, while the plug-in hybrid variant is rated at 261 horsepower and enables 55 km of zero-emission driving. Gas-only Sportage models feature a 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine producing 187 horsepower. Handling isn’t super-sharp due to the extra weight, but most customers prefer a smooth ride.
