The seventh generation of the Elantra was introduced three years ago, so it’s time for a mid-cycle refresh. The front fascia incorporates thinner headlights that are connected by a metallic accent, while the interior gets a redesigned instrument cluster, among other things. A naturally aspirated 2.0-litre engine (147 horsepower), hybrid system (139 horsepower), turbocharged 1.6-litre engine (201 horsepower) and turbocharged 2.0-litre mill (276 horsepower) are available. The last one motivates the high-performance Elantra N.
