The so-called compact pickup trucks are obviously more economical than full-size trucks, whose sales have been plunging drastically. However, their load and towing capacities seriously limit their use in some circumstances. With the addition of a 320 horsepower 5.3-litre V8 engine for the extended and crew cab versions, it is now clear that the Canyon will finally be able to carry heavier loads et offer a considerably higher towing capacity, jumping to 2,721 kg from 1,814 kg.
