Base models house a turbocharged 2.3-litre four-cylinder engine rated at 300 horsepower, while ST and Platinum models boast a turbocharged 3.0-litre V6 producing 400 horsepower. As for the Explorer Hybrid, it combines a 3.3-litre V6 with an electric motor for an average fuel consumption of 9.6 L/100 km.
