Ford Escape
After a quarter-century run, the Escape will be retired in 2026. The Maverick pickup and the Bronco Sport (a more adventurous compact SUV) will then become Ford's entry-level vehicles. For its final year on the market, the Escape remains available with a less-than-sophisticated 3-cylinder turbo engine, a 4-cylinder turbo capable of towing 3,500 lbs, a fuel-efficient hybrid powertrain, and a plug-in hybrid system that comes with front-wheel drive only.
