Having had its look refreshed last year, the Ford Escape gets a mechanical makeover this year. The 2.3-litre four-cylinder engine jumps to 2.5 litres, upping its power output to 171 horsepower. The V6 retains its 3.0-litre capacity, but offers a new 240 horsepower power output. The two engines are associated to a six-speed automatic transmission, while the four-cylinder engine can be linked to a five-speed manual transmission. The hybrid is still available.
