The Ford EcoSport stands out from other small SUVs with a rear swing gate instead of a conventional liftgate. The base engine is a turbocharged 1.0-litre three-cylinder that produces 123 horsepower and 125 pound-feet of torque. It can be replaced by a naturally aspirated 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine putting out 166 horsepower and 149 pound-feet of torque. Inside, look for a SYNC 3-powered eight-inch touchscreen. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto both come standard, too.
