Ford has built a solid reputation for its Fusion and Escape hybrids, but their strongest weapon yet against Toyota’s Prius line is the new C-Max. Size wise, the C-Max sits between the Focus and the Escape. It’s available as a hybrid or plug-in hybrid, the C-Max Energi. The 2.0L gas engine works in concert with an electric motor powered by lithiumion batteries. The C-Max Energi has a greater allelectric range.
