Even though the i8 sports car is on sale now, its sci-fi styling and gull-wing doors seem like they’ve landed from the future! The plug-in hybrid drivetrain stays on the high-tech theme: midship 228-hp turbo three-cylinder with six-speed automatic, teamed with a 129-hp electric motor up front working with a two-speed automatic (one for electric-only driving, the other for hybrid operation). The combination offers a peak of 357 horsepower and 420 lbs.-ft. of torque, delivering performance that is nothing short of electrifying!
