Discovering The Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV

PHEV is an acronym for Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle, in case you were wondering.

Please note that the Outlander PHEV that we will get will not look like this one.

There are a few differences compared to the regular Outlander. For example, the paddles on both sides of the steering wheel, and the lack of a rev counter.

The left socket is used to plug the vehicle into a domestic outlet, and the right one is used when there is a recharge station available.

Under the hood is a 2 litre MIVEC engine bolted to a generator.

The round button in the center of the console is used to ''lock the differentials'', which means that each electric motor receives 50% of the power output.

The blue circle represents the range in all-electric mode, while the green one is the overall range including the fuel left in the tank. Since this vehicle is a European model, it thought we were somewhere in France!
