Ford F-Series is Canada’s Best-Selling Pickup for 60 Straight Years

Sixty years of domination is an extremely rare feat, but one that’s just been achieved by Ford. That’s right: the legendary F-Series is now Canada’s best-selling pickup for the 60th consecutive year. Oh, and it’s also the overall best-selling vehicle in the country for the 16th year in a row.

With 138,470 F-150 and Super Duty units sold in 2025, Canadian sales of the F-Series increased by 3.5% compared to the previous year. The Super Duty actually set a record in the process (which will likely be broken in 2026).

This performance helped make Ford the most popular brand in Canada for 17 years running. Including the Lincoln luxury brand, the automaker’s 2025 total reached 294,418 vehicles sold, representing a 5.4% year-over-year increase. However, it wasn't enough to beat General Motors, which led all manufacturers with sales of 299,813 units (+1.9%) and a 15.5% market share.

Furthermore, the Bronco, Bronco Sport and Maverick all had their best year to date. Also noteworthy is the 6.3% increase in Canadian sales of the Escape (32,956 units), whose production came to an end in December after 20 years.

As we previously reported, Ford plans to build more F-150 and Super Duty trucks in 2026 to better meet demand, having recently discontinued the fully electric F-150 Lightning. The company will also produce more hybrid vehicles, the sales of which jumped 31.5% in Canada in 2025.
