All the Cars, SUVs and Trucks Not Coming Back in 2026
Happy New Year, everybody! And R.I.P. to all those vehicles not coming back for 2026. As you know, the auto market is in a bit of chaos, what with tariffs and waving EV demand. Automakers can’t effort to keep certain models around as they spend a fortune developing new ones.
Several months ago, we posted our “Doomed Dozen” list—12 vehicles that will or could get the axe soon. Now, here are all those that officially will not be sold in Canada for the 2026 model year. Which one are you going to miss the most?

Notes
We have excluded U.S.-built vehicles facing an uncertain future due to tariffs and counter-tariffs. For example, imports of the Hyundai Santa Cruz to Canada have been indefinitely suspended while sales continue south of the border. It’s the same thing with the Mazda CX-50 and Subaru Ascent. The Nissan Frontier, Murano and Pathfinder, meanwhile, will return when the 2026 models arrive in the spring.

Given declining electric vehicle demand, changing consumer preferences, political tensions, scaled-back Canadian ZEV sales mandates and U.S. President Donald Trump's executive order to ease fuel consumption and emissions regulations, it will be interesting to see how automakers adjust their plans in the medium and long terms. As always, we’ll keep you up-to-date.
One last thing: the 2026 model year marks the end for the BMW Z4, Cadillac CT4, Ford Escape, Lexus LS, Lincoln Corsair, Toyota GR Supra, Volvo V60 and Volvo V90. Availability at dealerships could be a problem, so don’t waste time if one of them interests you.
