2026 Hyundai Palisade Lands in Canada, to Start at $53,699

The new, second-generation 2026 Hyundai Palisade hits the market this summer, followed by the first-ever Palisade Hybrid in the fall. Canadian pricing has just been announced, with hikes of more than $3,200 in some cases—which have nothing to do with tariffs, as units are built in South Korea.

Before going any further, you should know that the completely redesigned Palisade is larger, more powerful, more comfortable and better equipped than its predecessor, long considered a best buy in the three-row midsize SUV segment by The Car Guide (along with its cousin, the Kia Telluride).

The body is 65 mm longer and the wheelbase has increased by 70 mm. Inside, a curved, panoramic interface consisting of two 12.3-inch digital displays is included as standard. The Palisade offers seven or eight seats depending on the model including new relaxation seats in the first two rows (with several additional degrees of recline and deployable upper-leg supports).

Two Powertrain Options

Under the hood, the 3.8-litre V6 (291 hp, 262 lb-ft) has been replaced by a new 3.5-litre V6 producing 287 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque. Hyundai's eight-speed automatic transmission and HTRAC all-wheel drive system remain, as does the 5,000-lb maximum towing capacity.

As mentioned earlier, customers will now be able to choose a Palisade Hybrid, this one delivering 329 horsepower and 339 lb-ft of torque. At the heart of the system is a turbocharged 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine. While max towing capacity drops to 4,000 lbs, highway fuel consumption is estimated at just 7 L/100 km. The official ratings from Natural Resources Canada will be released soon.

How Much Does the 2026 Hyundai Palisade Cost?

The 2026 Palisade lineup starts with the Preferred Trend model at a manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP) of $53,699, plus freight and delivery charges of $2,100. This is a $3,200 increase over the cheapest 2025 Palisade.

Next up is the new, more rugged XRT PRO model for those who want to venture further off the beaten path. It features 25 mm of additional ground clearance, improved approach and departure angles, all-terrain tires on exclusive 18-inch dark-finish wheels, a 360-degree camera system with front ground view, Terrain modes (mud, sand, snow), recovery hooks and more. Hyundai has set its MSRP at $57,799.
