2026 Hyundai Elantra N TCR Edition Brings the Track to the Road

Hyundai, which offers three N performance models including the recently unveiled IONIQ 6 N electric sedan, is adding another option for the 2026 model year with the exclusive Elantra N TCR Edition, an even more hardcore version of the Korean compact sedan.

Inspired by Hyundai's championship-winning Touring Car Racing (TCR) cars, the new model naturally carries over the turbocharged 2.0-litre engine that delivers 276 horsepower and 289 lb-ft of torque, as well as a choice of a six-speed manual transmission with downshift rev-matching or an eight-speed N dual-clutch transmission with N Grin Shift unlocking up to 286 horsepower for 10 seconds.

Four exterior finishes are available including Abyss Black, Atlas White, Cyber Grey and the signature Performance Blue. Beyond the “TCR Edition” logos on the car and in the door spot lamp, all eyes will be on the huge swan neck spoiler mounted to the trunk lid.

That being said, don’t miss the 19-inch N TCR forged wheels and especially the N Performance brakes featuring four-piston monoblock calipers with two-piece rotors up front. Some serious stuff right there.

Meanwhile, the cockpit of the 2026 Elantra N TCR gets an N Performance Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel with 12 o’clock marker, Performance Blue seat belts in the first row, N Performance door scuff plates and floor mats, plus more Alcantara trim on the parking brake lever, shift knob and centre console armrest.

All of the track-inspired technologies already available with the existing Elantra N, such as N/Custom drive modes, an electronic limited-slip differential and an electronically controlled suspension, obviously make it to the TCR Edition. Pricing (MSRP) starts at $47,599 with the manual transmission and $49,199 with the dual-clutch unit. That’s a $7,400 premium over the standard Elantra N.

By the way, the 2026 Hyundai Elantra N TCR will be featured next month at a special event taking place at the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park in Ontario. In addition to VIPs and members of the media, 10 N model owners from the 10 Canadian provinces—there are over 5,000 across the country—will be invited.

"The Elantra N TCR Edition is a testament to our commitment to delivering track-level excitement for the everyday driving enthusiast. We are incredibly proud of the vibrant N community in Canada and are thrilled to celebrate this milestone with them," said Michael Ricciuto, director of product and corporate strategy at Hyundai Canada.
