2026 Lexus LC Gets Limited Edition Ahead of Possible Retirement

The elegant and stately Lexus LC 500, available in coupe and cabriolet body styles, will be back for a ninth and possibly final model year in 2026.

A new Inspiration Series model for the coupe, limited to 200 units for the North American market, has just been announced by Lexus Canada. The package comes with the new-to-LC colour Smoke Matte Gray, paired with blacked-out exterior and carbon fibre styling enhancements such as the roof. Also, 21-inch Matte Black forged alloy wheels and a white and black interior treatment are included.

In addition, the package comes standard with a heated steering wheel, head-up display, Mark Levinson sound system, special door scuff plates, front bumper canards, carbon fibre rear fixed spoiler, red brake calipers, Active Rear Steering and unique serialized badge on the centre console.

The LC 500 Convertible offers a new Inspiration Series model, too, although this one will have 350 units for the North American market including 29 for Canada. It comes with the new-to-LC colour Wind, paired with an exclusive Brown and Silver soft top, plus the same blacked-out exterior elements and 21-inch forged alloy wheels as the coupe.

Inside, look for Saddle Tan and White semi-aniline leather seats and unique centre console badging. The Climate Concierge system provides upper body heating for more comfortable open-top motoring on colder days.

By the way, the 2026 Lexus LC 500 lineup continues to offer the customizable Bespoke Build option, allowing customers to configure their vehicle with a mix of performance and styling components like the wheels, spoiler, roof, trim and colours. The LC 500 Bespoke Build is further distinguished with a unique interior badge and included certificate of authenticity printed on Japanese washi paper and signed by both LC Chief Engineer Yasushi Muto and Lexus Canada Director Martin Gilbert.

No More Hybrids

Under the hood, the sweet-sounding, naturally aspirated 5.0-litre V8 still develops 471 hp and 398 lb-ft of torque. With the 10-speed automatic transmission it’s mated to, the coupe accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 4.4 seconds and achieves a combined 12.7 L/100 km. The cabriolet completes the same sprint in 4.6 seconds and burns 13 L/100 km on average.

Lexus makes no mention of the LC 500h hybrid models, which used to pair a 3.5-litre V6 with an electric motor and achieved 8.1 L/100 km. The Car Guide has received confirmation from the company that they will be discontinued for 2026.

Built at the Motomachi Plant in Toyota City, Japan, the 2026 Lexus LC 500 is expected to go on sale in Canada soon. Pricing details will be shared at that time.
