Faster, More Powerful Cadillac OPTIQ-V Coming for 2026

Similar to the Lyriq midsize crossover, the Cadillac Optiq will get a sportier and more powerful V-badged model for 2026.

Ahead of the official debut scheduled on June 9, the company today released a pair of teaser images that reveal part of the vehicle’s exterior.

We can see Cadillac’s V-Series badges on both ends, a redesigned and more aggressive-looking front bumper, plus a carbon fibre rear spoiler on the liftgate.

No specs were provided, which isn’t a surprise. “The 2026 Optiq-V will be part of Cadillac’s fifth generation of the V-Series portfolio, elevating the brand’s performance offering,” the company said in a statement. “Building on Optiq’s agile drive, Cadillac engineers delivered a unique package prioritizing precision, a dynamic suspension and tight steering for an exhilarating driving experience.”

As a reminder, the 2025 Cadillac Optiq features dual motors delivering a combined 300 horsepower and 354 lb-ft of torque. It can sprint from 0-100 km/h in less than six seconds and travel up to an NRC-rated 486 km.

Naturally, the 2026 Optiq-V will offer quicker acceleration but also shorter range. We're expecting a few changes to the interior and more standard equipment, too. Come back on June 9 to find out all about it.
