Over 80 Tesla Vehicles Damaged at Hamilton Store

In what could be the largest act of vandalism against Tesla so far, over 80 vehicles parked outside a Tesla store in Hamilton, Ontario were damaged on Wednesday, including deep scratches, punctured tires and other forms of destruction.

Hamilton Police are currently investigating the mischiefs, which occurred on Upper Wentworth Street. They are reviewing CCTV camera footage and asking the public for their assistance in solving the crime.

This attack is the latest in a series of incidents targeting Tesla cars, stores and Superchargers, not only in the U.S. but also in Canada, mostly as a result of CEO Elon Musk’s role in the new U.S. government under president Donald Trump.

It also came on the same day Vancouver Auto Show organizers decided to remove Tesla vehicles from the event (March 19-23, 2025) due to safety concerns.
