North American Ford Fiesta ST Debuts! (In concept form)
Ford has been playing it pretty coy with their wildly successful Fiesta subcompact's future plans, at least as far as a performance model is concerned. And although the debut of the ST model in Frankfurt earlier may have gotten some people excited, those in the know pointed out the German debut featured just three doors; a variant of Fiesta that's as yet unavailable in North America.
But, all those naysayers might find the Fiesta ST five door that's coming to the LA Auto Show to be slightly more interesting. Although still claiming that the vehicle is little more than a concept, the ST's existence now as both a three- and five-door model, as well as the concepts ridiculous level of production readiness would seem to indicate otherwise. And since the ST promises an EcoBoost 1.6 litre four cylinder producing 180 horsepower, it should make for one awesome ride.
