Infiniti to Produce its First Model in Europe

The luxury division of Nissan confirms it will produce its first model on European soil in 2015.

The vehicle will be assembled at the UK plant in Sunderland but we still do not know which Infiniti model it will be.

Currently, Nissan assembles the Juke, LEAF, Note and Quashqai models in Sunderland.

Large investment

The addition of an Infiniti production line at the industrial complex will mean the Japanese brand will have to invest more than 250 million pounds ($ 420 million) to make room for the new vehicle. It’s an expansion which covers an area of 25,000 m2. It will also mean 1,000 new jobs for the region.
