Toyota really, really needs to do anything within their power to gain whatever positive publicity they can. And they need to do that as soon as possible. So, with that in mind, you can decide for yourself just how “accidentally” these images surfaced on the net prior to their intended release at the Geneva auto show.
Although illustrating changes destined for the European-spec RAV4, it’s expected that a similar facelift will usher the North American RAV4 into the 2010 model year. Bringing the popular SUV further in line with Toyota’s current styling language, the new Camry-esque grille and headlights are a definite improvement, which isn’t saying much given the current model’s propensity for anonymity. Early reports also mention an upgraded interior and slightly retuned 2.0L four-cylinder designed to return better fuel economy than the current powerplant.
