The Unique Aston Martin Virage Shooting Brake Zagato

Zagato is heralded as one of the most creative and inspired coachbuilders of the last century. In the last few years however, the coachbuilding market has been shrinking, since modern car building techniques are not suited for easy modifications. Zagato is one of the last, and they are celebrating their 95th birthday.

To celebrate the centennial of Aston Martin, the coachbuilder has been commissioned to build a unique version of the Virage.

As you can see in the pictures, the Aston Martin Virage Shooting Brake Zagato is a shooting brake-styled coupe inspired by the Aston Martin V8 Vantage and Volante of the mid-80’s.

Since the car is based on the Virage, the engine that will sit under the hood will probably be Aston Martin’s trademark 6.2L V12.

However, even if you had the kind of money to even dream about owning this marvel, you can’t. The creation is a one-off, and has already been sold to a rich European buyer.
