How Much For A Jaguar F-Type Project 7?

A few weeks ago, Jaguar Land Rover’s SVO division unveiled the voluptuous Project 7 Coupe. This open-top speedster was based on a regular F-Type, and was inspired by the legendary 1954 D-Type race cars.

At this year’s Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, the English manufacturer finally revealed how much we would need to spend to get our hands on one of these beauties.

Knowing that the Project 7 is fitted with a 575 horsepower supercharged V8 engine and a slew of aerodynamic bits and pieces, we knew that performance would more than match the styling: 0-100 km/h in 3.8 seconds, and a top speed electronically limited to 300 km/h.

The price is somewhat representative of all this power. Project 7 will start at $165,000 US, which is $73,000 US more than the regular F-Type V8 S. Then again, that car only has 495 horsepower, so you may be a bit short when overtaking…

It is important to note that the F-Type Project 7 only comes standard in two colors: Glacier White and Ultra Blue. If you want it painted any other color (like Ultimate Black, Caldera Red or the only proper color for this car, British Racing Green), you will have to pay a few thousand dollars extra…
