The First 2015 Ford Mustang Sells for $300 000

The first 2015 Ford Mustang GT to roll off the assembly line has been sold for $300,000 at an auction.

It took place on January 18 in Scottsdale, Arizona at the famous Barrett-Jackson auction. The lucky winner was a car collector and Ford dealer named Sam Pack.

The amount collected was donated to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, involved in the fight against type 1 diabetes in young people.

The 2015 Ford Mustang GT is powered by a 5.0-liter V8 engine that develops 420 horsepower and 390 lb-ft of torque.

The Mustang sold for considerably less than the $1.1 million that the first 2014 Corvette Stingray fetched last year.
