Audi Confirms Production of the Q1

The German manufacturer has confirmed the development of another SUV, which bear the name Q1. Assembly will begin in 2016 at the Ingolstadt plant.

The Q1 will join the Q3 RS Q3, Q5 SQ5 and Q7 already in the lineup.

The decision to produce the Q1 is part of Audi’s plans to see its model range increase from 49 to 60 vehicles by 2020. It also aspires to sell more than two million vehicles annually.

Since 2006, Audi produced and sold 1.5 million SUVs worldwide.
