Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra to get Diesel Option

Like the RAM 1500, Nissan Titan & Toyota Tundra, all of which will receive a diesel engine, General-Motors has announced both the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra trucks will also have diesel options.

The engine is a 3.0-liter V6 that generates 240 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque. It’s supplied by the Italian company VM Automobili.

This is the same diesel engine found under the hood of the Jeep Grand Cherokee and Ram 1500.
