Honda NSX Concept-GT on the Suzuka Circuit

Pictured here is a race car designed to meet the standards set by the Japan Automobile Federation (JAF) rather than a show car made to the rounds at various auto shows.

The Honda NSX-GT Concept is a car that will compete in the popular Japanese GT500 Series.

The standard NSX concept is powered by a hybrid powertrain based on a 3.5-liter V6 engine, but the Acura NSX Concept GT uses a four-cylinder turbo 2.0-liter mated to the hybrid powertrain to meet the requirements of the class.

The ultra-light race car has a rather impressive aerodynamic package which includes:
- A front bumper with two baffles;
- Extremely low side skirts;
- Two side air intakes;
- A massive spoiler.
