Cadillac ELR 2014: Concept Converj becomes reality

Finally, the Converj Cadillac concept car bears an offspring called the ELR.

The seductively styled coupe runs the evolved version of the Chevrolet Volt extended autonomy electric powertrain.

For the first time GM engineers, using ELR coupe exclusive leading edge technology, designed a vehicle capable of longer driving stints in electric mode only.

On longer trips, the Cadillac ELR has the autonomy of conventional automobiles.

Production starts at the end of 2013 with vehicles scheduled to reach dealer showrooms at the beginning of 2014.
