Chrysler 300 Motown Edition: Proud of its origins

The now famous “Chrysler Imported from Detroit” slogan allowed the carbuilder to reposition itself on the American market and build up a national image even though it is part of the giant Fiat organization.

Chrysler chose the fiefdom of American carbuilders, the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, to unveil its Chrysler 300 Motown edition.

This special edition pays tribute to the renowned record company Motown Record.

The Chrysler 300 Motown Edition includes model-specific options such as:

• Bright White, Deep Cherry Red, Gloss Black and Jazz Blue special colors;
• Pearl White Nappa leather seats with black inserts;
• A piano-like center console with 8.4 inch screen,
• A ten-speaker audio system;
• A selection of 100 original songs from Motown Record;
• 20-inch polished aluminium wheels.

Pentastar V6

Chrysler chose the ubiquitous 292 horsepower 3.6 litre V6 Pentastar to propel the Chrysler 300 Motown Edition.

An eight-speed transmission is the only choice.

Expected availability is Spring 2013.
