Fiat 500L: The stretch version

We recently wrote about Fiat’s determination to develop a stretched wheelbase for its 500 model.
Today, they’re making it official with some tell-all photos of the Fiat 500L.
It’s a five-door five-seater.
And it’s bigger! This is how it measures up:
- Length: 4,140 mm (+ 59 cm)
- Width: 1,780 mm (+ 15 cm)
- Height: 1,666 mm (+ 3 cm)
All told, it is slightly bigger than the Honda Fit.
In Europe, this car will be available with three very different engine options:
- Two-cylinder TwinAir
- 1.4L four-cylinder MultiAir
- 1.3L four-cylinder MultiJet turbodiesel
In North America
We are still awaiting details on the version that will be released for the Americas. More information is expected soon.
The Fiat 500L will make its world debut at the Geneva Auto Show in March and the first units will go on sale in Fall 2012.
