Mini Reveals Mini Clubvan Concept before Geneva Launch

A little while ago, we reported that Mini was hell bent on expanding their already surprisingly extensive lineup to include 10 vehicles, an expansion that would require the launch of four new vehicles. Although Mini had, at the time, admitted their production plans for the Paceman concept, it would appear that they’ve just announced what might become the second in their new wave of vehicles.

Called the Clubvan, the new concept appears to be a fresh take on the existing Clubman shooting brake, albeit designed to include solid panel-van like side panels. Although straddling a market already served by the HHR Panel and Ford’s diminutive Transit Connect, Mini’s ensured their offering stands out with slightly more luxurious cloth trim around the cargo area rather than hard plastic, and have gone on record as saying that the vehicle targets art gallery owners and clothiers, rather than plumbers and electricians. However, keep in mind that this is just a concept, and however production-ready it may appear, it does beg the question: just how many clothiers and art gallery owners ARE there shopping for a car?!
