2014 Jaguar XKR : Age and Beauty!

This is not an optical illusion: this car has some character.

The finish and quality of the materials are what you’d expect for an $111,000 car.

The drive selector retracts when you cut the engine. To see a radical change in the XKR’s behaviour, just turn it to the letter S and press the button with the checkered flag.

If that’s not pretty, I don’t know what is.

The Jaguar XKR’s competition includes the BMW 6 Series, Mercedes-Benz SLK and Porsche 911.

Since its makeover in 2007, the Jaguar XK (and XKR, of course) hasn’t changed. And that’s great!

The spoiler adds style, but more importantly, it makes the car more aerodynamic.

Although the trunk opens like a hatchback, you can’t fold the rear seatback down. Therefore, it’s not a hatchback.

There are sports cars out there with bigger trunks, but there are some with smaller trunks too!

A spare tire: a rare commodity for a sports car!

Supercharged: if you don’t know what that means, it’s not important. Press the accelerator and take advantage of it anyway. The air intakes on the hood are not just for show.

5.0-litre supercharged V8 with 510 horsepower and 461 lbs.-ft. of torque. 0-100 km/h in 4.8 seconds.

The front seats are very comfortable.

Even grocery bags refuse to go there.

Although it’s an English car, there are no wood accents on the dashboard. This is a sports car, after all!

You measure fun with the needle on the right. When it hits 6, hang on tight!

Strangely, although the interface hasn’t changed for several years, it seemed more user-friendly than it used to be. However, it’s still not perfect.

If you can’t find a good position, you may have a problem.

The jaguar is a very beautiful animal. And it can turn on you when provoked.

During our week-long test drive, some students in Sherbrooke saw us. The seemed to really appreciate the rides we gave them.
