Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus SCG003: Scheduled for Next Year
The high-performance world is laden with start-ups with the intention of making their mark in the industry: whether it is with an exotic-shaped car or the announcement that their engine works using unobtainium and alien technologies, it seems like the next step in the automotive world is on the verge of happening.
Sadly, half those creations never get farther than the drawing board; they either lack funding, don’t pass homologation tests or are only built in single-digit numbers before the company goes bankrupt.
You may think that Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus will join this list, but the small manufacturer has a few advantages compared to its rivals: their car, the SCG003, has already been produced, passes the crash tests and has been race-proven (having participated in the 24 Hours of Nurburgring).
We recently learned more information about this car: it will be powered by a 4.4-litre engine producing 750 horsepower, will use a pushrod-type suspension (which will enable it to generate up to 2 Gs of lateral force, making it one of the fastest cars into corners) and will boast a style close to what you would find racing at the 24 Hours Of Le Mans in the Prototype class.
According to Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus, the SCG003 will be sold next year. In the meantime, we will see it in the flesh at the next Geneva Auto Show.
