A 2015 Ford Mustang That Looks Like An F-35 Lightning II

The American manufacturers have a long history of associating themselves with the army to build unique vehicles for marketing or recruitment purposes. We already saw a Dodge Challenger with an olive matte paint job built by the US Air Force to look like a stealth bomber, and a Mustang with a one-off interior inspired by the fighter jet's cockpit, complete with a throttle yoke.

The next vehicle to be modified for the US Army is the 2015 Mustang GT, with a body kit and custom livery inspired by the F-35 Lightning II.

For this one though, the modifications are much more restrained. There is an adjustable front splitter, sideskirts and a rear diffuser made of carbon fibre, a huge rear wing and unique wheels. The windows are tinted yellow, and the brake calipers and interior accents also sport the same hue. Finally, a vinyl wrap has been added to the back of the car, inspired by the F-35's livery.

This is a one-off build, and as such won't be offered in dealerships. However, it will be auctioned, and the profits will go to the EAA Young Eagle program, which sets up free plane rides for kids.
