An Even More Powerful Dodge Challenger for 2015

While the Charger gets an all-new look for 2015, its 2-door sibling, the Dodge Challenger, only gets a minor style upgrade, but a variety of new features under (and even on) the hood.

First of all, the Challenger’s good looks have been enhanced by a new grille, two separate taillights and new LED-rimmed headlights.

But here comes the important parts: mechanical upgrades! For 2015, all of you who order an automatic Challenger will have the all-new 8 speed Torqueflite transmission, whether you get an SXT version equipped with the Pentastar V6, an R/T model with the good old 5.7 HEMI and its 375HP or the new Scat Pack, which comes with the 6.4L HEMI engine (470HP, 470 lb-ft of torque) found last year in the SRT Challenger.

And, if you really want to re-live the Muscle Car era, you can check the Shaker option on any HEMI-equipped Challenger. This gives you a cold-air intake which protrudes through the hood, and shakes with the engine everytime you floor the throttle!

For now, there is no mention of an SRT model. But the rumors are that a new supercharged 6.2L HEMI is in the works. Supposedly, this engine would make more power than the current Viper, which stands at 640HP right now…

This promises to be interesting!
