Review: 2016 Volkswagen Passat

Despite the talk around crossovers killing the family sedan market in Canada and the United States, people still like driving cars.

Enough so, in the eyes of Volkswagen, that it builds a version of its Passat specifically for the North American market.

Launched in 2011, the Passat, dubbed the New Midsize Sedan, has carved out a comfortable niche in the marketplace thanks to its interior volume, comfortable drive, and available diesel engine.

Volkswagen has given the North American Passat a handsome refresh for the 2016 model year—minus the diesel option, for now—and Jim Kenzie was on hand for the launch to find out more.
