Issue: On certain trucks, the bead area of the spare tire may have been damaged when it was mounted onto the rim. Over time, this could cause the bead wire to separate and may result in tire failure. Safety Risk: A tire failure could affect vehicle control and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Ford will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a Ford or Lincoln dealer to replace the spare tire.
