The BRZ remains the most affordable rear-wheel-drive sports car in Canada. Its naturally aspirated, 2.0-litre flat-four engine puts 205 horsepower to the ground through a six-speed manual or automatic transmission, the latter featuring paddle shifters on the steering wheel. For 2019, the BRZ adds a new rear wheel arch aero fin and fine-tuned rear suspension damping, as well as the latest version of Subaru's touchscreen infotainment system that is faster and smoother.

Test Drives2017 Subaru BRZ Inazuma Edition: Blinded by the Light
The Subaru BRZ, first introduced jointly with Scion and its FR-S in 2012, added a low-cost, fun-to-drive sports coupe to the market. Test Drives2017 Subaru BRZ: Sports Car for the Masses
There’s a difference between a sports car and a sporty car. The first one was designed from scratch to offer performance and handling characteristics, while versatility as well as comfort and convenience features aren’t the priority. A sporty car, on the other hand, is a bread-and-butter vehicle that was modified …
BlogA Subaru BRZ STI in the Cards?
The Subaru BRZ is a sports car blessed with exceptional handling and perfect balance, but its major shortcoming is a cruel lack of midrange torque from its naturally aspirated, 2.0-litre engine. In the last few years, Subaru often mentioned the possibility of eventually giving the BRZ a turbocharged engine upgrade.
First Drives2017 Subaru BRZ: Subaru and Kaizen
The word kaizen is a fusion of the Japanese words “kai,” meaning “change,” and “zen” which means “better,” loosely translated in English as “improvement.” Kaizen applies perfectly to the 2017 Subaru BRZ, as the brand’s engineers applied a round of enhancements to their sports car, without however fixing its main …
