Darth Vader Would Love These All-Black Range Rover Sport, Defender Models

Luxury SUV enthusiasts who fancy a dark, stealthy look should pay attention to Land Rover, which has just unveiled two murdered-out models seemingly designed to please Darth Vader.

Let's start with the Defender OCTA Black, a sinister-looking take on the ultimate Defender, whose twin-turbocharged 4.4-litre V8 generates up to 626 horsepower. As many as 30 exterior elements are finished in either Gloss Black or Satin Black, from the underbody plates to the exhaust tips and emblems.

The body is finished in Narvik Black, which is the truest black in the Defender paint palette. However, customers can personalize the exterior by selecting an optional matte protective film.

The interior of the Defender OCTA Black continues the theme, featuring Ebony semi-aniline leather with Kvadrat synthetic fabric on the sports seats for the first time in a Defender. The perforation patterns on the seats and new stitching detail on the backrests are unique to this model.

Meanwhile, the Range Rover Sport SV Black gives an even more menacing appearance to what is already the mightiest and most fearsome Range Rover Sport. Blessed with the same 626-horsepower, twin-turbo V8 that produces 0-100 km/h acceleration in 3.8 seconds, this one also falls to the dark side.

The Narvik Black body combines with a full Narvik Gloss Black Exterior Pack that accentuates its muscular stance. The badges, lettering, 23-inch wheels, brake callipers, quad exhaust tips and more are all black. Amplifying the full monochrome finish is a black‑painted carbon fibre hood.

Inside, the Range Rover Sport SV Black gets model-specific illuminated treadplates, while the sculpted performance seats are finished in tactile Ebony Windsor leather. Gloss Grand Black finishers complete the look.

Canadian pricing for both vehicles will be announced at a later date.
