2026 Polestar 4 Officially Launches in Canada, Pricing Details Announced

Production of the all-new 2026 Polestar 4 for North America will start in Busan, South Korea this summer, with the first customer deliveries expected in the fall. Orders are now open via the company’s website, and we can tell you how much you’ll need to spend.

To be clear, the Polestar 4 was originally scheduled to arrive as a 2025 model, but plans changed due to the introduction of 100% Canadian tariffs on electric vehicles manufactured in China. That's why our units will be Korean-made instead.

Slotting between the Polestar 2 sedan (whose fate beyond 2025 remains uncertain) and the Polestar 3 performance SUV, this coupe-like crossover stands out with a missing rear window. In its place, a roof-mounted camera feeds an image to the digital rearview mirror.

Single Motor

Starting at $64,900 (plus $2,700 destination), the base model with rear-wheel drive uses a single motor producing 272 hp and 253 lb-ft of torque as well as a 100kWh battery enabling an estimated range of 482 km.

The standard Pilot Pack includes Pilot Assist and Lane Change Assist, 20-inch Aero alloy wheels, a panoramic glass roof, adaptive cruise control, 360-degree parking camera with 3D view, energy-saving heat pump, e-latch doors, power tailgate with soft close, wireless phone charging, digital key for Apple devices and 8-way power adjustable driver’s seat.

Adding the Plus Pack bumps the price to $71,700, but you’ll get a head-up display, 12-way power adjustable front seats with manual leg extension, electronic reclinable rear seats, bio-based synthetic leather upholstery, three-zone climate control, heated steering wheel and rear seats, Harman Kardon premium audio and more.

Dual Motors

Meanwhile, the dual-motor Polestar 4 with all-wheel drive generates 544 hp and 506 lb-ft of torque. With a 0-100 km/h acceleration time that drops from 7.1 to 3.8 seconds, this is the fastest vehicle ever offered by Polestar. Battery capacity is the same, except that range is shorter at 434 km.

Here, prices start at $69,900, again including the Pilot Pack. Otherwise, it's $76,700 with the Plus Pack. You can also add a Performance Pack that will raise the MSRP to $82,500 in exchange for 22-inch forged wheels, Polestar Engineered chassis tuning, Brembo four-piston brake calipers in Swedish gold (yellow, actually), Polestar performance brake discs, summer performance tires as well as Swedish gold seat belts and valve stem caps.

As a final note, the company wants you to know that 85 percent of the Polestar 4 is recyclable, and several components can be reused or remanufactured. What’s more, the vehicle is available with optional upholstery made from fully traced and animal welfare-secured Nappa leather supplied by Bridge of Weir.
