2026 Jeep Grand Cherokee Teaser Hints at Subtle Refresh
The Jeep Grand Cherokee is about to receive a series of changes for the 2026 model year, as previewed today by the company.
Curiously, the press release uses the words “next-generation” and “new chapter.” Remember, the current Grand Cherokee was introduced for 2022, while the three-row Grand Cherokee L debuted a year earlier.

In reality, the midsize SUV will be getting a mid-cycle update. As engineers finalize validation testing, Jeep is giving us two separate looks to whet our appetite.

The first picture shows slight revisions to the front grille, headlight and bumper, but these are nothing to write your mother about.
Likewise, on the second pic, the interior barely seems to evolve. It’s possible that most of the enhancements have to do with what we can’t see, such as technology. Anyway, the infotainment screen gets a pair of physical knobs on either side, and the HVAC interface below comes down to a single row of buttons. There’s a new storage area further down, too.

The 2026 Jeep Grand Cherokee will continue to be assembled in Detroit, Michigan and offer both two-row and three-row configurations, as well as a selection of powertrains including a 4xe plug-in hybrid system. We expect the twin-turbo 3.0-litre six-cylinder engine a.k.a. Hurricane to finally join the lineup, but Jeep probably won’t bring back the HEMI V8 like Ram is about to with its full-size pickup.
The official debut is likely to take place soon, as the refreshed Grand Cherokee is scheduled to go on sale by the end of 2025. We'll keep you posted.
