2026 Chevrolet Corvette’s Widely Redesigned Interior Breaks Cover

The eighth-generation Chevrolet Corvette will get an extensively redesigned interior and more changes for the 2026 model year, as the company announced today.

The main highlight, of course, is the new digital interface with larger displays, sharper colours and more convenience. The infotainment system screen expands to 12.7 inches and the digital instrument panel to 14 inches. A brand new 6.6-inch touchscreen is also added to the left of the steering wheel, making performance and trip data easier to access.

“There’s an intentional balance of physical and virtual controls,” said performance driving product manager Dusty Smith. “For example, the head-up display (HUD) controls are now virtualized, which opens space for Performance Traction Management controls to be intuitive physical buttons.”

Redesigned Console

The centre console has been reconfigured and now puts the most essential controls at the driver’s fingertips. The redesigned drive mode selector is in line with the transmission buttons, creating room for a new wireless charging pad (with a cover to keep the phone in place). The volume knob is bigger and features a lit base for better visibility.

Another big change inside the 2026 Corvette involves the HAVC controls, which have been repositioned under the centre display. That’s right: the much-maligned wall of buttons between the driver and passenger is no more. The latter will now enjoy an integrated grab handle instead, with a new USB-C port strategically placed underneath.

Even More Standard Content and Options

What else? We could talk about the redesigned cupholders, the Performance App now enabled for the entire Corvette lineup (not just the E-Ray) or the available Performance Data Recorder that has undergone a complete user interface overhaul. All models feature a custom infotainment system with Google built-in, and new apps like Chrome, GameSnacks, Prime Video and others in Google Play are available so occupants can stream movies, play games and browse the web while parked.

Wait, there’s more. For 2026, a new PTM Pro mode turns off electronic stability control and traction control while leaving ABS and certain E-Ray-specific front axle controls active to minimize vehicle intervention for drivers who want maximum control. New and more powerful brakes—the largest ever fitted to a production Corvette—are included with the Corvette ZR1’s ZTK performance package.

Meanwhile, an available electrochromic roof will allow customers to change the tint level of their targa roof glass at the press of a button. Oh, and two new exterior colour options can be specified for all models: Roswell Green Metallic and Blade Silver Metallic.

“For over five years, the Corvette has led the luxury sports car segment in sales in Canada, maintaining a clear margin over its nearest competitor,” said Chevrolet Canada brand manager James Hodge. “With these latest updates, the mid-engine Corvette is set to strengthen its position and continue leading the segment well into the future.”

Further details about the 2026 Chevrolet Corvette lineup including pricing will be announced at a later date.
