Tech Upgrades, Price Hikes Coming to Many 2026 Porsche Models
Fancy a new Porsche 911, Taycan, Panamera or Cayenne? A series of updates are coming for the 2026 model year including enhanced infotainment, connectivity and audio.
First, the revised Porsche Communication Management (PCM) system is now more responsive thanks to greater computing power. It also offers additional capabilities, such as direct access to a large number of third-party apps for native use, as is the case in the new Macan EV. The list, which varies from one market to another, includes music, video and podcast streaming apps, news, media and weather apps, EV-specific route planning apps, as well as games, karaoke and connected home apps.

By the way, the Porsche Connect package will be included as standard on these vehicles for 10 years starting from model year 2026.

For the first time, in addition to Porsche’s Voice Pilot, drivers will be able to use Amazon Alexa as a digital assistant while driving. It is activated via the voice command "Alexa" or via an individually configured button, or icon switch tile in the PCM.
Lastly, along with the PCM update, cars equipped with premium audio systems from brand partners Bose and Burmester will now feature the Dolby Atmos immersive sound technology, so passengers will feel almost as if they are sitting in the middle of an orchestra. Obviously, the prerequisite is an audio source that supports Dolby Atmos, but that’s not really a problem since over 90 percent of the world’s biggest music artists have already released their work in Dolby Atmos.
The 2026 Porsche 911, Cayenne, Panamera and Taycan models can be ordered now and are expected to arrive from late summer. Watch out, as some of the prices have increased quite a bit. For instance, the cheapest 911 now costs $143,600 (MSRP) instead of $135,600. The Cayenne is more reasonable, starting at $95,300 instead of $93,400. All pricing details can be found on the Porsche online configurator.
