Volvo Unveils the ES90, an SUV-ish Electric Sedan
Volvo has unveiled the ES90, a brand-new addition to the Scandinavian automaker's range of electric vehicles. At first glance, the ES90 looks like a large luxury sedan, but Volvo considers it a product that doesn't belong in any specific vehicle category. The automaker describes it as a vehicle that combines the elegance of a sedan, the versatility of a hatchback and the interior room and ground clearance of an SUV.

No dimensions have been shared besides the wheelbase. Visually, the sleek, aerodynamic silhouette gives it a drag coefficient of just 0.25. The front features Thor's hammer headlamps, while the lights are located on both the C-pillar and the rear window - as on the EX30. As for the interior, the 3.1 m wheelbase provides generous space for rear occupants. As for gadgets, the ES90 incorporates a host of state-of-the-art safety technologies. Inside, the driver faces a 9-inch digital instrument cluster. The infotainment system uses Google and the screen measures 14.5 inches. For audiophiles, the optional Bowers & Wilkins system features 25 speakers, some of which are located in the headrests and headliner. Power output reaches 1,610 watts.
